New look and Poll Results!

Mommy found this new background for my page. Pretty cool, huh?

Of course, when she changed it, we lost the poll about who I look like. That's okay. It was about to close anyway. Thanks to everyone who voted. Daddy won by a landslide!!! Mommy was hoping that I'd look more like her, but she admits that I look more like Daddy and my siblings. Oh well...I have Mommy's personality, so she can be happy about that.

Things are good in my big girl crib, except I tend to scoot up to the corner even if Mommy puts me in the middle. Here's how I usually look when Mommy comes in every morning.

It's been really cold the past few days. Mommy seems to like bundling me up. She thinks I look cute. I get a little annoyed by it, though.

Mommy was able to capture my newest trick on video tonight. Sorry it's not the best quality. We don't have an actual camcorder, so this was recorded with the camera on Mommy's cell phone. It's still pretty doggone cool!!!

Lots of firsts!

This has been a really exciting week! I'm getting to be too long for my basinnette, so tonight is my first night in my big girl crib. Mommy is pretty sad about it, but it was no big deal to me. She laid me down and after a few minutes of cooing, I was out like a light!

Today, I had another really exciting first, too. I rolled over for the very first time!!! Mommy and I were at her friend Christy's house, and I was having some tummy time. Mommy left the room for a few minutes, and when she came back, I was on my back! She thought Christy had rolled me over, so she asked how I got on my back, and Christy said "She just rolled that way. Has she not done that before?" Mommy was so shocked! She almost didn't belive that Christy was telling the truth until tonight when she put me on my tummy again, and I rolled over right in front of her eyes! Mommy clapped and cheered for me. She's going to try and get it on video this week so she can show the whole world!

I'm growing so much that all of my 0-3 month clothes are way too short for me, so now I get to transition into a whole new wardrobe! I really love having all new clothes to wear. The 3-6 month clothes are still really big around my tummy, but they go all the way to my ankles, which is important when it's cold outside! Here are some pictures of me in one of the outfits my aunt Tyra gave to me. Don't I look stylish?

Mommy is really excited because I've finally gotten interested in my frog rattle that she got me before I was born. It's a cool toy that has teething parts, and a little mirror in his tummy so I can check out my beautiful toothless smile. He makes a cool noise when I shake him, too! (Sorry you can only see his backside in the picture, I like to keep him where I can see his face, so you can't see it!)

Mommy has been bundling me up on the cool mornings. I don't really like it when she puts hats on my head, but it does keep my ears a lot warmer, and I look pretty cute in them, too!!!

One of my favorite hobbies now is having tummy time while laying on Daddy's tummy, and cooing at him. We both like this quite a lot, as you can see in the pictures. Sometimes I get so excited that I drool on him. (That's what the little line from my mouth to his chest is in the bottom picture.)

After such an exciting week, I'm worn out! But I'm looking forward to lots more firsts in the future!

Growing and learning!

I can't believe I turned 3 months old this week! Mommy is amazed by how much I've grown and how much I've changed in that short amount of time. When I was first born, I would cry everytime anyone changed my diaper, and now, I smile and giggle while they're changing me. I'm getting to be such a big girl!

I'm finally getting excited by playing with toys. My favorite toy is my frog blankie that my aunt Tyra gave me before I was even born. It's a really soft pink blankie with a stuffed frog sewn on it. Sometimes I pull it over my head and play peek-a-boo with Mommy with it. Sometimes I chew on its head and arms. And sometimes I just hold it tight. It makes me so happy!

Mommy thinks that I'm going to be a big helper when I get bigger. I'm already learning how to help hold my own bottles!

I got a new Bumbo last weekend. It's a little chair that helps me learn to sit up like a big girl. I LOVE sitting in it! When my big brother and sister sing to me while I'm sitting in it, sometimes I bop my head to the music. Everyone seems to think I'm really funny when I do that!

Playmates and Play Dates!

Lately, I've been really interactive with everyone around me. Mommy and Daddy will hold me for long periods of time face to face, and I'll smile and have baby-talk conversations with them. My big brother Jhordan enjoys making faces at me and crossing his eyes to make me smile.


Last night, I went to Mommy's friend Kristi's for a play date with Kristi's daughter Hallie. We had a lot of fun! Hallie is 9 months old, so she's a lot bigger than me, and has a lot more experience in the world. She spent the evening trying to show me her toys and how to play with them. Happy New Year!

Last night, we went to dinner at Mary Maestri's with Mommy's side of the family to celebrate New Year's Eve. I still wasn't feeling great, so I was a little cranky, but as long as I was being held, I did okay. I looked really pretty in my pink onesie and denim jumper. I even wore a bow on my head so no one would call me a boy and my pink ballerina slippers. I looked pretty snazzy!

Today is the first day of 2008. I'm looking forward to this year. This year, I should learn to walk and say real words (not just the goooo's and ahhs that I say right now...) and I'll get to start eating solid food. I think it's going to be great!
