Trip to the Park

The weather yesterday was really nice. We got to take a trip to the park. I got to see ducks and geese, and I got to ride in my big girl stroller. Then, I got to swing in a big girl swing. It was great fun!

Me and My Mommy!

Look!!!! Mommy finally got a picture of us together!!! She doesn't like the way she looks in it, but she thinks I look super cute! (It is a little fuzzy, though, cuz I was waving!)

Bath Time!!!

Lately, one of my favorite times is bath time. Mommy puts me in the water with my toys and lets me splish-splash around. I have a lot of fun!

Six Months Old!

I turned six months old this week!!! Mommy took me to the doctor, and I had to get three yucky shots. That part wasn't fun at all. But, they did weigh me and measure me, which Mommy was really excited about. They said I weigh 15 pounds 5 ounces, and I'm 27 inches long! Mommy can't believe how much I've grown. She finally got a picture where you can see my two teeth. If you look closely by my index finger and below the purple linkadoo, you'll see two little white specs. Those are my too-fers. (That's what Mommy calls them. She says that's what my Maw-Maw would have called them if she were still alive.)

I'm not really doing anything exciting in this picture, but Mommy thinks I look cute.

Here's another picture of me sitting up by myself. I'm really getting the hang of it. On Friday night, I sat up for 15 minutes straight without falling over!

One thing I'm getting really good at is waving. Here's a picture of me sitting up getting ready to eat in my big-girl high chair. Mommy said, "Hi Savanna" and I waved at her. She was soooo excited to get a picture of it!

On Friday night, my big brother Jhordan got to come over and play and spend the night. We had lots of fun. Mommy made us pose for pictures together.

My newest face that I make is what Mommy calls my "squishy face". She always laughs at me when I make it.

I'm still trying hard to crawl, but I still haven't quite gotten the hang of it. Maybe some day soon!

Growing and changing!

For a long time, my mouth has been hurting and I've been drooling a lot. Mommy said that was called teething. Finally, two of the mean little things have busted through my gums! So, I have two little teeth. One of them is VERY sharp!!! Mommy tried to get a picture of them, but I'm not very cooperative for that.

I'm also learning to sit up by myself. I can't really pull myself up, but when Mommy sits me up, I can sit without holding on to anything or leaning against anything for several minutes! It's pretty exciting. Of course, when I lose my balance or forget what I'm doing, sometimes I topple over. In the lower picture below, I'm starting to lean...that usually leads to a litlle bit of a rough landing. That part's not so much fun.

I'm trying sooo hard to learn to crawl! I can't really go forward yet, but I have managed to go backwards a few times. Mommy said I'll get it soon!

Long time no blog!!!

Sorry it's been so long since I've blogged. I keep telling Mommy that we need to update it, but she's been keeping me busy.
Since the last time I wrote, we've had lots of fun! A couple of weeks ago was a holiday called Easter. It was great. This guy called the Easter Bunny broke into my house at night and left me a basket of goodies. Mommy assures me that it's not as creepy as it sounds, and that he's a lot like that Santa dude that I liked so well at Christmas time. I looked really pretty in my dress, and I had fun playing with the stuff he brought me!

At church on Easter, we had an Easter Egg hunt. I wasn't very good at finding eggs on my own, so Mr. Joe helped me find some. He's a cool dude!!!

After all the Easter fun, Mommy told me the story of Jesus, and how He died on Good Friday and that celebrating Easter is celebrating Jesus dying for our sins and rising again. It was an exciting story! I don't completely understand it yet, but I know Mommy will keep telling it to me as I grow up, so that I'll be sure to always remember that Easter isn't about hunting eggs and eating candy. It's about remembering Jesus.
The weekend after Easter was my friend Hallie's birthday. She turned one year old!!! It was a fun party. She got lots of presents, but I was pretty much her favorite thing to play with. Don't tell anyone, but Mommy let me try icing off of one of Hallie's birthday cupcakes!!! It was super yummo! The party was a lot of fun.

This past weekend, Mommy and I got to go with my big brother to visit my big sister at her house. We had a really good time, and I was very excited to get to see them. I love both of them very much!!!

Mommy promised me that we'll try to be better about writing more often.
