Vanni The Purple Nosed Toddler

Yesterday at the babysitter's, I fell down and got my first visible bruise on my face. My nose is very purple right now. Dada thought it looked terrible, but Mommy said that I looked very stylish, since my outfit was purple, too, and it matched very nicely. (I think my mommy is a little bit sadistic!)

Josie's Helmet

Josie left her bike helmet in the living room, so it was free reign for me to play with. It took me a while to figure out how to put it on, but I eventually got the hang of it.

Picking my own shoes

A couple of days ago, Mommy told me to go in my room and get the shoes I wanted to wear. This is the "pair" I brought back to her. She and Dada laughed at me...I don't know why. I thought I looked quite cute. I even struck a "model pose" to show off how perfect I looked.

Pick Up Sticks

Who says you need to pay lots of money for entertaining toys? I'm perfectly happy with playing with sticks in the yard.

Soccer

My big brother Declan is getting ready to start his second season of soccer. Last week, we got out his ball so he could start practicing for the season. He's a good big brother. He shared it with me some, and showed me how to kick it. Maybe someday I can play on a team like he does.

Trike!

Look at what Mommy got me at a garage sale...a tricycle of my very own! I'm not big enough to push the pedals by myself yet, but I like to be pushed on it. I'm really glad my Josie likes to help push me.

Fun City

Last week was Spring Break. On Friday, Mommy kept me and Declan home along with Josie, and we went to Fun City for the morning. I've been there a few times before, but this was definitely the most fun I've had there. I'm big enough now that I can go on rides all by myself, play in the balls without assistance, and can go down the big slides with Josie's help. It was a LOT of fun. I can't wait to go again!

Little Drummer Girl

Mommy always knew I had rhythm! A couple of weeks ago, a couple of my friends and I proved it at church by playing on the drums. (Please don't tell Mr. Mike we were playing with his drums!!! He loves me, and I don't want him to get mad.) Anyway, we all made beautiful music.

Park Days

The weather has been nice lately, and Mommy has been off work, so we've been to the park a couple of times with our friends. I'm learning how to go down the slide by myself. It's fun!

Saying goodbye

Last night was the night we had a service to say goodbye to my baby brother Jude. Mommy dressed me up in a very pretty dress. Now that I'm so mobile, most of the pictures she tries to take of me turn out looking like this one:

But this one is very pretty.

Mommy and DaDa were very thankful for all of the people who came to say goodbye to our little guy. She'll write more about it on his blog when she feels up to it.

Getting ready for Easter

Mommy's friend Britney took us to Target the other day. The store is getting ready for Easter, so they had lots of Easter goodies on display. Mommy thought I looked super cute in these bunny ears. (I was kind of annoyed by them...)
