A sickly morning and a night of partying!

Today started off a little rough. Mommy woke me up for church, but I did not feel good at all. I was really cranky and had a little bit of a fever. Mommy and I stayed home most of the day and I slept a lot.
This evening, my big brother Jhordan came home after being gone for several days. I missed him a lot because he makes me smile and giggle! After he got home, we went to see Mommy's family in Siloam Springs to do some more Christmas celebrating. We got to see Aunt Beverly and Uncle Bub! Uncle Bub really likes babies a lot, so he thinks I'm the best. He loves to hold me, and I'm not even cranky when he has me! In fact, I smiled a lot for him, and even showed him how I can mimic the "Ohhhh" sound when he made it at me!

Tomorrow will be the last night of partying for the holiday season. It will be my first New Year's Eve, although I know I won't stay up till midnight to ring it in. I'm sure 2008 is going to be a fun year. I'm going to grow and learn so much!

Busy little bee!

Wow! I have been a busy little bee lately! Between Christmas gatherings and my big sister's birthday party, I've been a baby on the go!
Saturday, we had my sister Alexa's birthday party. It was a swimming party at the Jones Center. Mommy found out that even though I really seem to like bath time now, I'm not too keen on swimming pools yet. The water was a lot cooler than my bath water, and I just didn't like it. As you can see in the picture, I was not a happy girl, even in my cute bikini! Grammy helped Mommy take care of me during the party so that Mommy could take care of everything else. Except for the swimming part, I had a great time watching Alexa get all kinds of cool presents and spending time with friends and family.

Saturday night, we went to dinner with our friends the Gilman family. I don't know why I call them friends, because they really are our family now. They gave me a really cute giraffe shape-sorter gift for my Christmas present. I gave them a picture of me.
Sunday was a little rough. My sister Alexa got sick, then Mommy got sick, then I started running a temperature. It really scared Mommy, but she took good care of us, and we're all better now.
Monday was Christmas Eve, and we went to see my Gigi and Papa Ron. There was lots of food and gifts. We all had a really good time, although it wore me out. I had to take a nap in my pretty Christmas dress.
On Christmas morning, we opened gifts at home. Daddy put a bow on my head, because he said I'm the best gift ever! In the afternoon, we celebrated with Grammy and Mommy's side of the family, and then that night we celebrated with Grandpa Jack and Daddy's side of the family.

All in all, it's been a very busy week, and I'm just happy to have some time at home for the next few days. Then on New Year's Eve, I'll be celebrating some more with family!

More Christmas Parties!

Last night was the Christmas party for Daddy's work. We had a lot of fun. His co-worker, Debi, made some yummy food, and we all got to hang out for a while. Toward the end of the night SANTA showed up! I'm beginning to like this guy. He's always got presents! By the time we got home, I was worn out! I slept like a baby (ha ha! I am a baby!!!) all night long!

I'm starting to get used to the daycare thing. Mommy usually does okay with dropping me off, as long as I'm sleeping. When I'm awake, she gets a little sad to leave me. Mommy and I are both glad that she has the next four days off work, so we get to spend them together. The next few days are going to be so exciting! We've got Alexa's birthday party, and then several family gatherings for Christmas! It should be a lot of fun!

Back to Work for Mommy!

Today was Mommy's first day back at work. She was really sad to have to leave me, but she also was glad to get back to her normal routine. She did a good job, though. She didn't cry when she dropped me off, and she didn't cry at all through the day! She was REALLY ready to get back to pick me up at the end of the day, though!!!

Tonight, we went to watch my big brother Jhordan sing with his school choir. They did a great job! I love music, so I was a very good girl the whole time. I didn't even make a peep! Mommy was very proud of how well I did.

My first shots

Today was a big day. Mommy had to go to the dentist this morning, so she left me at the babysitter's for a few hours. Mommy was sad to leave me there, but I did good. When she got back to pick me up, Ms Shirley gave her a cutout of my handprint with a snowflake on it. She told Mommy that I made it for her, but I really didn't help much...Mommy was very touched. Here is a picture of it:

After that, Mommy and I went to OGC to see some of Mommy's friends, Delanna and Missy. They thought I was the cutest and sweetest baby ever!!! They fought over who got to hold me. I smiled and cooed for them.

After that was the worst part of the day. We had my two month check up at the doctor's office. I'm growing really well! I now weigh 10 pounds and 3 ounces. That's almost 2 pounds more than I weighed when I was born! I'm in the 50th percentile for my age on weight, which is right where I need to be. My length is now over 23 inches, which puts me in the 75th percentile on height! Mommy says I'm going to be taller than Grammy by my first birthday! The doctor checked me out and said that I was perfect! My heart murmur is all gone, and everything is developing just as it should. After checking me out, I got 3 shots. They made me cry really loud, which made Mommy cry a little, too. I got over it pretty quickly, though, and I got sparkly bandaids, which is pretty cool.

Daddy has been really sick today, so tonight, Mommy went and filled in for him at the bowling league. She bowls much better ever since I've been born. She says I'm her lucky charm. I slept a lot of the time we were at the bowling alley, but I did stay awake long enough to see my uncle Chris and aunt Kentrina.

Except for the shots, I had a really good day.

Happy 2 Month Birthday to Me!!!

Today I turned two months old!!! It was a good day. When we woke up, there was snow on the ground left over from yesterday, but it wasn't on the roads, so it was safe for Mommy and Daddy to take me to church. Church was fun. The big kids did a play about the meaning of Christmas, and Mommy was in a skit where she played one of the "Angry Sisters". She played Rolonda, the stressed-out sister who loves to shop. She didn't have to act too much. She does get stressed out pretty easily, and she definitely loves to shop!!! I wore my adorable Christmas outfit that my great-aunt Beverly sent to me. I looked sooo cute!!! And, guess who came to see us at the church? SANTA!!! Here's a picture of me with him:

I didn't know what to think about him, but we sure look cute together, don't we?
After church, we just hung out at the house. I got to take a nap with Daddy. He's really good at snuggling with me. He had to go to work this afternoon, so Mommy and I played for the rest of the day. It was a really nice day of just enjoying each other's company.

Tomorrow is a big day for me! I'm going to the babysitter for a while so that Mommy can go to the dentist, and then I'm going to the doctor for my two-month check up! I'm really excited to see how much I weigh now. I've definitely grown a lot! I just hope I do well with any shots they may have to give me. I have a feeling Mommy will cry just as much as I do!

Brand New Blog!

My old baby site didn't allow enough room for pictures, so we're starting over again here. Here's a little about me...My name is Savanna Hope Wages, and I'll be 2 months old tomorrow! So far, I can't do a lot of stuff, but I'm learning new things every day. Some things I can do already, though, are hold my head up for a couple of minutes at a time, and reach for toys. I'd much rather interact with people than toys, though. Like my mommy, I'm very social, and very much a drama queen. I love to coo and have conversations, although right now, I'm the only one who knows what I'm saying. This week, I learned to curl my tongue into a u-shape. That's pretty amazing...even Mommy can't do that!! It's one of Daddy's talents, so I guess I got that from him. My favorite things are hanging out in my bouncy seat or in my swing. Mommy has been taking a lot of pictures of me, so here are a few of them:
